Same old same old. Bringing in the days with the usual ho hum. I'm not complaining. Just still really interested in completing my stay here on earth. Don't get me wrong, I don't foresee my demise arriving any earlier than the good Lord plans. But none the less, I am looking forward to going home. Existing in a constant state of waiting is a bit like serving a prison sentence. Counting down the days of captivity to freedom. In the mean time, I'm focused on "connecting four". Pouring my energy into loving my children and maintaining as much semblance of normalcy as possible. Surprisingly, the days seem to be moving along swiftly.
Since I have no desire for much of this world, I spend a lot of time reading to help pass the time. Currently, I'm reading The Living End by Lisa Samson, Crazy Love by Frances Chan and of course my favorite, the Bible. I have to admit that I now read the Bible with a whole new desperate perspective. I reach for understanding, hope and mercy in the words and find myself especially drawn to the red letters. Always my favorite. Seems there is so much more clarity there. Would you be surprised if I told you I'm knee deep in reading Revelations now?
I'm soooo homesick......
Revelations 22:12-14
I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. "
